About
South Bay Eco Kids Nature Camp includes exploratory free play, scavenger hunts, journaling, trash-to-treasure crafts, nature- and environmentally-themed games, hands-on science activities, and a live wildlife show. Each camper is given an Eco Kid explorer vest with pockets for holding rocks, leaves, and other natural items found during camp activities. The camp uses three central themes for its activities: Ecosystem Services, Human Impacts, and Eco-Conscious Kid.

• Schedule: Week-long sessions, Monday–Friday, 10am–4pm
• Price: $450/week + 2.2% charge for credit card payments. Sibling Discount: 5% off for each additional sibling enrolled. Refunds: full refund up to one month before the chosen week; 50% refund between one month and two weeks before; no refunds less than two weeks before.
South Bay Eco Kids Nature Camp is a program of TeachingGreen, a nonprofit organization dedicated to helping people love and protect the natural world. The camp strives to maintain a 7:1 camper to counselor ratio and does not use computers, smart phones, or man-made playground equipment. South Bay Eco Kids Nature Camp is described as award-winning and focuses on reconnecting children with nature so that they will one day grow up to protect it.
Families are asked to send campers with a nutritious, filling lunch and snack, water (preferably in a reusable water bottle), comfortable closed-toe shoes with socks, a backpack, and waterproof sunscreen applied before camp, with reminders given to reapply during the day. Personal hand sanitizer is optional, and parents are asked to label all items, especially water bottles, lunch boxes, and hats. The camp asks that children do not bring valuables, toys or games (including electronic devices), or any items that may cause injury or harm.
