Carmel Mountain Preschool offers activities such as visiting an art studio to create fun art, music and movement, story time, natural play, sensory play, hands-on activities, outdoor play, and exploration of art and science. Carmel Mountain Preschool was founded in 1983, with construction starting in May 1983 and the preschool opening on August 28, 1983. An upstairs building was added in 1991, classrooms 12AB and the upper parking lot were added in 1994, two additional classrooms (13 and 14) were added in 2021, and an overhaul of the campus was completed in 2023. The leadership team includes Director Donna Taconi, Executive Director Arianne Condrick Bettazzi, and founders/owners Dan and Pauline Condrick, who are referenced as having built and still being involved in Carmel Mountain Preschool. Pauline has an AA degree in child development, and Dan earned a bachelor’s degree at San Diego State University in social welfare. Dan and Pauline have been leaders in the Rancho Peñasquitos community and support many non-profits that protect and benefit children.
