Crusaders Soccer Club offers Recreational Soccer, competitive play in the SOCAL Soccer League and USYS National League, and a 3v3 Festival. The program also includes a Spain Showcase and a College Prep Program for older players.

With more than 50 years serving San Diego’s East County communities, Crusaders Soccer Club is the original East County soccer club. The club’s programs range from Recreational Soccer to the most competitive elite level play, with a program for every boy and girl ages 3 to 17. Crusaders girls teams now compete in the elite Development Player League (DPL), and the club also competes in the Elite Academy League (EA2). The club aligns its programs to four core values: Respect, Integrity, Honesty, and Accountability. Through the game of soccer, the Crusaders Club states that it is committed to developing life skills in youth, aiming at every practice and every game to advance player performance and form leaders both on and off the field.

Victor Melendez serves as the Director of Coaching for Crusaders Soccer Club. Coach Victor Melendez holds an A license with the US Soccer Federation and a Brazilian A goalkeeping license. He has more than 30 years of coaching success in both youth and professional soccer, has achieved championships with boys’ and girls’ teams, and coached the CalSouth Player of the Year in 2018. He has an extensive background in collegiate soccer and professional coaching with the San Diego Sockers, and he focuses on a holistic approach, nurturing future leaders while honing on-field abilities. Coach Victor Melendez is described by the club as a nationally respected and award-winning coach.
