Noonan Family Swim School

Noonan Family Swim School offers Splash Babies, a parent-and-child class for infants starting at 6 months old, with a parent or caregiver in the water. It also offers Blue, a non-parent and me beginner swimming class for ages 2 to 3, plus Red, Orange, Yellow, Green, Gold, and Swim Team classes for older children and swimmers at higher levels.

Programs

• Splash Babies — 6-36 months; recommends transitioning into blue at 2 years of age · Parent-and-child class for infants starting at 6 months old; a parent or caregiver is required in the water with the child.
• Blue — 2-3 years old · Beginner swimming level; non-parent and me class.
• Red — 3 years and above · Beginner swimming level.
• Orange — 3+ or graduates from Blue or Red · Intermediate swimming level.
• Yellow — Intermediate to advanced swimming level.
• Green — Advanced swimming level.
• Gold — Advanced swimming level aimed at preparing students for the swim team.
• Swim Team — Runs for 45 minutes · Intended to prepare students for competitive swimming; typically coached from outside of the pool.

About the provider

Noonan Family Swim School, Inc. was founded by Jeff and Monica Noonan in January 2004. The school says it was created to deliver exceptional results while maintaining a welcoming, family-oriented atmosphere.

Level determination text states: under 2 years old -> Splash Babies; 2-3 years old -> Blue or Splash Babies; Blue is a non-parent and me class. For Blue, Red, and Orange, constant adult touch supervision is recommended when in and around water. For Yellow, close and constant supervision is recommended. For Green, constant adult supervision is recommended. For Orange, Coast Guard approved PFD is recommended when not using touch supervision. New Swim Team students will be asked to demonstrate their ability to meet prerequisites on their first day in class.
