Jeff and Monica Noonan founded Noonan Family Swim School, Inc. in January 2004. Jeff and Monica set out to create a swim school built on quality instruction, individualized teaching, and genuine customer care, with a goal of building a program that delivers exceptional results while maintaining a welcoming, family-oriented atmosphere. The school uses safety-related concepts in its color levels, including BLUE as a beginner level for ages 2–3, RED representing stop for safety, ORANGE representing danger, and YELLOW representing caution, and recommends use of a Coast Guard approved PFD when swimming with a child if constant adult “touch supervision” is not being used for swimmers at the Orange level. The program is described as “The Safest & Finest Swim School,” uses phrases such as “Every Child is a Champion,” “Building Confidence,” and “Learning to Swim is a Journey,” and describes teaching swim lessons as exciting and fun while seeking self-motivated individuals who enjoy teaching children and growing as educators.
