San Diego School of Music offers private, semi-private, small group, and group music lessons in instruments such as guitar, piano, drums, bass, trumpet, trombone, violin, cello, flute, clarinet, saxophone, and ukulele. The program also offers voice lessons, orchestra lessons, band lessons, and after school programs, with options for studio and virtual lessons. Students can use music teaching apps, music software, Skype, and their own devices during lessons, and have access to free loaner instruments to get started, as well as rentals.

San Diego School of Music has a proven track record of excellence since 2007 and has been trusted by over 1,100 families for over 11 years, with over 1,200 students from ages 4 to adult. Music teachers all have either college training or professional performance experience. The school’s full-time mission is teaching music lessons. It is nationally recognized as a Top 10 music school in the nation for 2022 and is an Official Family Safety Plan Music School. The program offers free music recitals with no participation fees, including free recitals with a grand Steinway piano in a first class professional recital hall and student recitals in prestigious auditoriums with high end pianos and world class acoustics. Families have access to student discounts on group lessons, music books, instruments, and accessories, and students can participate in professional photos and bring their instruments to the photo shoot. The school uses glass windows on lesson rooms, full-time office staff, extensive background checks of all teachers and staff, security cameras in all rooms, and an open-door policy for parents, who are always invited to sit in on their child’s lessons. Students can earn trophies, certificates, and Musical Ladder wristbands to mark achievement. San Diego School of Music also runs after school programs in local communities throughout San Diego.
