Seaside Arts Center

Seaside Arts Center offers dance, theater, music, voice, and visual arts classes where students can act, sing, make art, and take part in creative dance, ballet, hip-hop, jazz, and musical theater. The program also includes movement games and special events such as a Toy Story–themed night with a movie-inspired art project, a pizza party, snacks, and a viewing of Toy Story. Seaside Arts Center runs multi-arts camps that blend visual and performing arts, with each week featuring a new musical theater–inspired theme.

Seaside Arts Center is a non-profit organization that provides students with an education in the performing and visual arts and states that it cultivates artistry and creativity while developing social and emotional skills, building confidence, and expanding empathy. It is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization and describes itself as an accessible and equitable community that cultivates life-long artistic appreciation, expression, and participation for students in San Diego County. Through its ARTS FOR ALL initiative, Seaside Arts Center states that it removes financial barriers that may prevent participation, and it offers a first class free.

Seaside Arts Center is home to the Seaside Children’s Dance Ensemble, a merit- and experience-based program that performs throughout the year in the San Diego community. The organization also offers an After-School Enrichment program that brings its studio programming to schools. The center notes that it provides serious arts training and describes its environment as supportive and confidence-building.
