The Dance Academy Del Mar offers classes in Ballet, Royal Academy of Dance (RAD) Ballet, Classic Ballet and Ballet Academy, Pre Pointe, Pre-Pointe and Pointe, Jazz, Hip Hop, Tap, Contemporary, Lyrical, Acro, Musical Theater, Stretch & Conditioning, and Stretch and Strength. The program also includes Baby & Me and Baby and Me classes, Toddlers and Tiny Tots, Twinkle Toes / Tiny Tots, Adult Dance Classes, dance team opportunities, and kids’ dance summer camps and other Dance Camps and Summer Programs. Students take part in major productions such as a Spring Ballet performance, Spring Ballet: Excerpts from the Classics, a Summer Recital, and The Nutcracker, and can participate in RAD exams and elite ballet competitions, as well as dance birthday parties in Del Mar and summer dance camps in Del Mar.

The Dance Academy Del Mar was founded by Ms. Francine Garton, a classically trained professional with over 25 years of experience and three award-winning studios. The faculty are professional dance instructors with real-world performance backgrounds and recognized teaching credentials, including professional dancers and certified educators, a former Bolshoi Ballet soloist, and a Guinness World Record holder. The studio is described as the premier studio that nurtures dancers with passion, precision, and artistry, led by world-class instructors, and as a full-service dance studio in Carmel Valley serving students from 18 months through adulthood.
The Dance Academy Del Mar is the only studio in San Diego offering the Royal Academy of Dance (RAD) program and is described as one of San Diego's few certified homes of the Royal Academy of Dance, an internationally recognized ballet curriculum offered at a select number of studios worldwide. Students in the RAD program follow an internationally recognized syllabus and have the opportunity to sit official RAD exams, earning credentials validated worldwide, and students who complete RAD grades earn internationally recognized certifications. Instruction is described as purposeful and progressive, combining rigorous technique with encouragement and personal expression, with every dance lesson structured to develop technical precision, artistic confidence, and stage presence together, and class sizes are kept small so that every student receives individualized attention.
The Dance Academy Del Mar produces three major professional productions each year: Spring Ballet, Summer Recital, and The Nutcracker, with The Nutcracker presented as a full-length professional production featuring guest artists of the highest caliber and other major performances at professional theater venues. The program is described as offering fully staged productions at professional theaters and as a home away from home where families and dancers thrive together. The Dance Academy Del Mar serves families across Del Mar, Carmel Valley, and surrounding San Diego neighborhoods.
