San Diego Hawks Baseball

San Diego Hawks Baseball offers travel baseball through its Next Level Player Development and Travel Baseball Program for players ages 7U to 18U. The program also includes a Summer Baseball Program for ages 7U to 12U, separate age-based programs for 7U/8U, 9U, 10U, 11U, 12U, 13U, and 14U, and a High School Program for ages 15U to 18U. It also lists lessons and clinics, along with The Nest Baseball Academy training and individual lessons.

About the provider

The San Diego Hawks baseball player development program started in 2016, and The Nest Baseball Academy opened in April 2022. The program says its goal is to teach life through baseball by developing players to be great teammates, understand the mechanics of the game, and learn to play the game the right way. It describes itself as the #1 Youth Travel Baseball Organization in San Diego, the #1 Travel Baseball Organization in San Diego County, and a Top 10 organization nationally with Blast Baseball usage.

• The Nest Baseball Academy training and individual lessons — Opened in April 2022 for team training and individual training (lessons).

Tryouts for the 2026/27 program are ongoing. The program says it is not recreational or introductory. It does not require additional travel team experience for 7U-14U. It uses an extended evaluation period based on Effort, Attitude, Commitment, and Performance. Final team assignments are completed by Labor Day weekend. The program states it has a place for all types of players under the Hawks umbrella. Travel Ball Age is the age the player will be on April 30, 2027.
