Hearts Respond Youth Leadership Tutoring includes creative outlets and creative activities, seminars and workshops, service activities, counseling services, fundraising, after-school activities, and community programs. The program also features live performances by local talent and a photography competition, with winning pictures displayed on the Freedom4U website and at Hearts Respond Studio. Events connected to the program include a Summer Mixer, an Art Walk Expression Night every first Thursday, a Futures Arise fundraiser with live music, silent and live auctions, dinner and drinks, and a Holiday Community Mixer with refreshments and live music.

Hearts Respond Youth Leadership Tutoring is part of Hearts Respond, a community focused non-profit whose mission is to provide resources and guidance for residents to improve their lives. Hearts Respond works in partnership with the South Bay non-profit Freedom4U and activates individuals, families, groups, and businesses to improve the Los Angeles Harbor community. It has a strong community relationship in the South Bay and LA Harbor areas and provides extensive services to youth in Inglewood, Hawthorne, Gardena, Los Angeles, West LA, as well as the South Bay and LA Harbor areas.
The program leadership includes Founder and Director Dr. Greg Allen, who also directs counseling at Hearts Respond, and a Board of Directors made up of Greg Allen, Jesse Straub, Christine Allen, Thomas Schwabe, and Jaclyn Stansbury. Staff credentials include Dr. Gregory Allen, a Licensed Marriage & Family Therapist for over 30 years; Marjorie Fagan, a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist; and Dr. Yana Gordin, a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist and Art Therapist who holds a Doctor of Psychology (PsyD) in Applied Clinical Psychology. Coach George Allen is a member of the NFL Hall of Fame and the San Pedro Sportswalk.
