The Dance Factory offers classes in Acro, Contemporary, Hip Hop, Jazz, Lyrical, Tap, and Technique. Ages two through eighteen can take part in these different dance styles. The Dance Factory and San Pedro Ballet School share one location as two dance schools in the same place.
• Ages: 2–18 years old
The Dance Factory began in the fall of 1989 as the South Bay Sunray Stars and is celebrating 35 years in business. After 20 years in Lomita, it moved to Rancho Palos Verdes for 13 years, and in September 2020 it moved in with San Pedro Ballet School. The Dance Factory offers four levels of commitment: recreational, show, performance, and competition. It has trained dancers who earned college dance scholarships, toured with professional dance companies, became professional sports cheerleaders, and continued on as dance teachers. The Dance Factory has earned 6 consecutive “Best Of Rancho Palos Verdes” Awards, was named one of the “Top 50 Dance Studios in USA to Watch in 2016” by The BDancewear Blog, and has received multiple “Studio of Excellence” awards from local dance competitions. For 35 years, The Dance Factory has described itself as a successful educational dance school whose success comes from providing solid training, quality service, and a belief in the strength of its organization and training methodologies.
