Since its founding in 1948, the Osher Marin Jewish Community Center has played a vital role in Marin County. Camp Kehillah is described as award-winning, and the JCC campus includes award-winning indoor and outdoor pools. Camp counselors are experienced professionals, certified in First Aid and CPR, and trained to support a safe, healthy, and super-fun camp experience for all. “Kehillah” means “community” in Hebrew, and JCC campers and counselors come from a rich diversity of cultures, faiths, and backgrounds from Marin and beyond. Camp Kehillah cultivates an inclusive community where campers are encouraged to be their most authentic selves and explores Jewish culture and values through activities while developing social connections through the magic of play. Programs include group activities to build social skills and meaningful relationships, and summer friendships are described as special and often leading to lifelong social confidence.

The Osher Marin JCC’s stated purpose is to nurture and sustain Jewish culture, to enrich lives, and to build an inclusive, welcoming community. The Center has earned nationwide respect for its model toddler and preschool programs, its commitment to lifelong wellness and learning, and its award-winning Camp Kehillah. The Osher Marin Jewish Community Center is described as a place to celebrate, strengthen, and sustain Jewish life and culture, to build cross-cultural understanding, and to enrich the lives of those in the community at large. The leadership team includes executives, directors, and board members such as Chief Executive Officer Judy Wolff-Bolton, Chief Financial Officer Tim Egan, Chief Operating Officer Samantha Kelman, Camp and Youth Director Brittany Mihalik, and President Paul Castro, along with other officers and at-large members.
