Santa Monica Music Center offers instrument and voice lessons, home lessons, rock band, DJ lessons, a podcasting course, and DJ camp. Rock Band meets weekly for 90-minute rehearsals, DJ Lessons are a once-a-week 55-minute interactive Zoom call, and the Podcasting Course is a 4-week class. Instrument rentals are available online with no money down, and rentals listed include string bass, violin, viola, flute, electric guitar, French horn, euphonium, oboe, keyboard, trumpet, and drum set.

Santa Monica Music Center is family-owned and has been in business since 1972. It supports schools in Los Angeles, Santa Monica, and Malibu, and its news and outreach through the arts includes helping build relationships between youth and police.
The Right Instrument section states preschool music class is for 3-4 years old, private piano lessons start at 5, violin accepts students from 5, woodwind beginners are recommended at 8+, youngest average drum student is 6, and private vocal lessons are recommended at 10. Lessons are available in-person or online at both Santa Monica and Culver City locations.
