California Bearcats Select

California Bearcats Select offers basketball camps, a Lil Cats Club, a Developmental Squad, and Travel Team options. The program also runs Spring, Summer, Fall, and Winter tryouts, as well as a Summer Camp.

• Ages: 6–14 years old
• Schedule: Spring tryouts on March 23rd; Summer Camp from July 20–24; Fall tryouts on August 21; Winter tryouts on December 6 at SFC
• Price: Fees are approximately $200 per month for the 3–4 month season, with an additional cost for a uniform package; fees are non-refundable

For over 17 years, the stated mission of California Bearcats Select has been to enable young men and women to reach their full potential on and off the court, and the program is in its 16th year in club basketball in San Diego. California Bearcats Select currently has 1st–8th grade boys and girls from Carlsbad, Encinitas, Leucadia, Solana Beach, Del Mar, Carmel Valley, La Jolla, and Clairemont Mesa, with 15 total teams and typically one to two teams per grade. Teams are typically comprised of 9 players, and for the 4th–8th grade boys teams, a select number of players are chosen for the Travel Team. Travel teams participate in select tournaments during the Fall, Winter, and Spring seasons in San Diego and Orange County, and the 14U group will be competing in tournaments in Las Vegas over the summer. No player is allowed to play for another club basketball program unless that club team is a school team. The program is considered to be the #1 youth basketball club in San Diego County. The leadership team lists Brenda Corsi as Co-Founder and Director, and also as Co-Founder and Director of Operations.
