California Bearcats Select

California Bearcats Select offers basketball camps, spring tryouts, fall tryouts, the Lil Cats Club, a Developmental Squad, and Travel Team tournaments. The program includes boys teams from 3rd to 8th grade, with 15 total teams and typically one to two teams per grade. Teams are typically comprised of 9 players, and for the 4th–8th grade boys teams, a select number of players are chosen for the Travel Team, which participates in tournaments.

• Price: Fees are approximately $200 per month for the 3–4 month season, with an additional cost for a uniform package; fees are non-refundable.

Travel teams participate in select tournaments during the fall, winter, and spring seasons in San Diego and Orange County, and the 14U group will be committing to tournaments in Las Vegas over the summer. No player is allowed to play for another club basketball program unless that club team is a school team. California Bearcats Select currently has 1st–8th grade boys and girls from Carlsbad, Encinitas, Leucadia, Solana Beach, Del Mar, and Carmel Valley, as well as some from La Jolla and Clairemont Mesa. The program is considered to be the #1 youth basketball club in San Diego County. For over 17 years, its stated mission has been to enable young men and women to reach their full potential on and off the court, and it is in its 16th year in club basketball in San Diego. The leadership team lists Brenda Corsi as Co-Founder/Director and Co-Founder/Director of Operations.
