California Bearcats Select

California Bearcats Select is a youth basketball club program. It includes boys teams from 3rd to 8th grade, with 15 total teams and typically one to two teams per grade. Teams are usually made up of 9 players, and for 4th–8th grade boys, a select number of players are chosen for a Travel Team that combines RED or WHITE teams within each grade.

• Price: Our fees are approximately $200 per month for the 3–4 month season. The CBC fee covers gymnasium rental, coaches fee, league fees, and operational costs. Additional cost for uniform package. Fees are non-refundable.

Travel teams take part in select tournaments during the Fall, Winter, and Spring seasons in San Diego and Orange County, and the 14U group commits to tournaments in Las Vegas over the summer. Players are asked to commit to all three seasons (Fall, Winter, and Spring), and the program states that it will work around other sports while asking that California Bearcats Select be as or more important than the other sport. No player is allowed to play for another club basketball program unless that team is a school team, and if a player joins a school team, the program asks that California Bearcats Select is the priority and that the player request approval before playing with the school club team. California Bearcats Select currently has 1st–8th grade boys and girls from Carlsbad, Encinitas, Leucadia, Solana Beach, Del Mar, Carmel Valley, La Jolla, and Clairemont Mesa. The club is in its 16th year in San Diego club basketball, and for over 17 years its stated mission has been to enable young men and women to reach their full potential on and off the court. The program is considered to be the #1 youth basketball club in San Diego County. Leadership includes Co-Founder/Director and Co-Founder/Director of Operations Brenda Corsi.
