TRC Gymnastics offers activities that include gymnastics, running, jumping, climbing, hanging, swinging, skipping, crawling, rolling, flexibility training, and strength training. Campers take part in these activities as part of TRC Summer Camp 2024 – Solana Beach Location.
• Ages: 3–13 years old
• Schedule: Half Day Preschoolers attend 9am–12pm, and Full Day Campers attend 9am–2pm.
• Price: Half Day Preschoolers attend 9am–12pm, cost is $320/wk. Full Day Campers attend 9am–2pm, $400/wk. Private lessons $70.00 per hr. (one person), $90.00 per hr. (two) and $100.00 hr. (three). An annual registration fee of $50 is due during the anniversary month of each student’s original enrollment date. A late fee of $10 will be assessed to all non-current accounts after the 10th of each month.
Kinder and preschool gymnastics are available for children 3 to 5 years old, using equipment specifically designed for the development of gross motor skills. The girls gymnastics program is for participants between the ages of 6 and 13 years with instruction on all four Olympic events, and the boys gymnastics program is available to boys ages 4 to 8 years. Competitive programs are invitation-only and are described as designed to develop competitive athletes, with a stated goal to develop strong, healthy gymnasts through consistency, positive reinforcement, goal setting, team spirit and the joy of flipping freely in air. The program states that it does not offer make-ups due to missed classes and that it does prorate for new student enrollments and for all scheduled TRC Gymnastics closures.
All campers bring a snack and water bottle daily, and Full Day campers also bring lunch. Proper attire is required for all participants, with acceptable attire for girls including leotards, footless tights, and tightly fitting T-shirts, and baggy clothing allowed only for warm-up purposes when it does not interfere with instruction or safety. All students are required to have their hair pulled back from the face, and personal items are stored in cubbies during class time, while items of value are kept at home, with parents, or with the receptionist at the front desk.
TRC Gymnastics states a mission of “Education of the physical, through the physical” and explains that it was founded with a goal of educating children about their potential physical capabilities through comprehensive motor-skill development contained in basic gymnastics lessons. The program notes that its instructors are U.S.A.G. Certified and that these instructors guide children through progressive and challenging lessons in a safe environment.
