Adventure Camp Boulder is part of Avid4 Adventure, which states that it believes in the transformative power of the outdoors and that kids at Avid4 Adventure build confidence, make new friends, and master skills in paddling, biking, rock climbing, and hiking. Campers are grouped by grade range, with 2nd–4th graders concentrating on getting comfortable with new activities and 5th–7th graders focusing on teamwork, mentorship, and deepening technical competence. Every day centers on authentic local settings, with parents and campers meeting staff at a consistent location daily, transportation provided to recreation areas for the day’s adventure sport, and campers returning to the same meeting place for afternoon pick up.

Instructors are all 18 and older with what the program describes as impeccable credentials and serious safety and skills training, and the camp is led by outdoor instructors described as the best around. Avid4 Adventure hires approximately 500 educators across all camps, states a commitment to paying educators a fair wage, and starts every activity with a discussion about risks, prevention, and response. The leadership team includes Founder David Secunda, who is described as the former president of the Outdoor Industry Association and a 25-year veteran of the outdoor education industry.

Campers can bring their own bikes or borrow from the camp’s fleet, which accommodates campers of any size, and they get access to professional-caliber, top-of-the-line gear specifically sized for kids for activities like mountain biking, kayaking, and climbing. Campers learn about flora and fauna, practice Leave No Trace principles, and take part in teambuilding activities to explore and deepen their connection with fellow campers. Avid4 Adventure describes itself as the home of multi-sport adventure, with programs that evolve as campers grow from age 3 to 17, and states that it teaches solid skills including sound judgment and problem-solving, with campers coming away filled with confidence, enriched with newfound skills, and launched into a lifetime of empowering outdoor adventure.

Adventure Camp Boulder is backed by the Avid4 Adventure Guarantee, which promises an authentic outdoor adventure, highly trained and professional staff, and increased confidence, and states that if these promises are not met, the next Avid4 Adventure camp is free. Avid4 Adventure operates under a Special Use authorization from the National Forest Service, is a Certified B Corp, is accredited by the American Camp Association, and has been named among Colorado Parent’s Top 5 Sports Camps. Discounts include a multi-session/sibling option that offers $25 off per session after the first when families mix and match sessions, a referral program that gives friends $50 off their first camp and provides a $50 coupon for a future 2026 camp when they purchase, and a $65 service discount for qualifying professions.

Parent testimonials describe individual experiences, including one parent who said it was their daughter’s favorite camp and that she went from biking with training wheels to riding without them after camp, another who described the staff as mature, responsible, and excited to share their passion while calling it a well-run program where kids learn new outdoor skills, and another who said their kids had the best time, stayed active every day, and learned how to enjoy what Colorado has to offer.
