About
Avid4 Adventure Day Camps offers a mix of outdoor activities including stand up paddleboarding, paddling, biking, rock climbing, hiking, mountain biking, and kayaking. Campers use professional-caliber equipment for mountain biking, kayaking, and climbing, and the program includes both multi-sport and single-sport camp types. For the SUP Day Camp, campers are expected to have some previous experience paddling in standing or moving water, feel fully comfortable on open water, and be comfortable being fully submerged in water for short periods of time.

Avid4 Adventure states that it believes in the transformative power of the outdoors and that at Avid4 Adventure kids build confidence, make new friends, and master essential skills in activities like paddling, biking, rock climbing, and hiking. Instructors are described as insatiable outdoors experts who love adventuring almost as much as they love working with kids, are all 18 and older, and have serious safety and skills training along with impeccable credentials. The leadership team includes Founder David Secunda, who is a former president of the Outdoor Industry Association and a 25-year veteran of the outdoor education industry.
Avid4 Adventure is a Certified B Corp, is accredited by the American Camp Association, and has been named among Colorado Parent’s Top 5 Sports Camps. The organization operates under a Special Use authorization from the National Forest Service and is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
Parent testimonials describe this as a favorite camp where a child who had never done the activities before came to enjoy stand up paddleboarding, kayaking, and biking, and learned to ride a bike without training wheels during camp (Emily Medress, September 2023). Another parent notes that their child wanted them to join to see what she learned each day and describes the staff as mature, responsible, excited to share their passion with kids, and the program as well run with new outdoor skills learned (Molly Marienthal, September 2023). A third parent reports that their kids had a great time, still talked about camp more than a month later, looked forward to returning the next year, and were active every day learning how to enjoy what Colorado has to offer (Suzanne Dayton, September 2023).
