The leadership team is headed by David Secunda, former president of the Outdoor Industry Association and a 25-year veteran of the outdoor education industry. Avid4 Adventure states that it believes in the transformative power of the outdoors and that kids at Avid4 Adventure build confidence, make new friends, and master essential skills in activities like paddling, biking, rock climbing, and hiking.
Avid4 Adventure is a Certified B Corp, is accredited by the American Camp Association, and has been named among Colorado Parent’s Top 5 Sports Camps. It operates under a Special Use authorization from the National Forest Service and describes itself as a premium camp committed to paying educators a fair wage, with highly acclaimed, 5-star-rated summer camps.
Parent testimonials describe Avid4 Adventure as a well-run program where kids learn new outdoor skills, with staff who are mature, responsible, and excited to share their passion with children. One parent reports that their child learned to ride a bike without training wheels during camp, and others note that their kids were active every day, still talk about camp weeks later, and are eager to return.
