Rock Climbing Summer Camps teach campers climbing on some of the most iconic formations in the area and include transportation to and from recreation areas and access to top-of-the-line gear specifically sized for kids. Campers are grouped by grade range, either 2nd–4th graders or 5th–7th graders, and there are no prerequisite skills or experience needed, but rock climbing campers should have a desire to climb and learn more about the sport. Every activity starts with a discussion about the risks involved, how to prevent them, and how to respond if something goes wrong.

Instructors are all 18 and older with safety and skills training, and Avid4 Instructors are the #1 point of positive feedback from parents of campers. The camp is backed by the Avid4 Adventure Guarantee, which promises an authentic outdoor adventure, well-trained and professional staff, and increased confidence, and if Avid4 Adventure does not meet these promises, the next Avid4 Adventure camp is free. Avid4 Adventure’s leadership includes Founder David Secunda, former president of the Outdoor Industry Association and a 25-year veteran of the outdoor education industry.

Avid4 Adventure states that it believes in the transformative power of the outdoors and that at Avid4 Adventure kids build confidence, make new friends, and master essential skills in activities like paddling, biking, rock climbing, and hiking. The organization is a Certified B Corp, is accredited by the American Camp Association, has been named among Colorado Parent’s Top 5 Sports Camps, and operates under a Special Use authorization from the National Forest Service. Avid4 Adventure is committed to paying educators a fair wage and to public transparency and accountability as a Certified B Corp, and its programs evolve as campers grow from age 3 to 17.

Parent testimonials describe Avid4 Adventure as a camp where a child learned to ride a bike without training wheels and discovered new favorite activities like stand up paddle boarding, kayaking, and biking, and where staff are described as mature, responsible, and excited to share their passion with children. Other parents report that their kids talk about camp more than a month later and look forward to returning, and that their children were active every day and learning how to enjoy what Colorado has to offer.
