Since 1979, when Kids In Distress, Inc. (KID) was created as a shelter for abused and neglected children, the organization has focused on serving children and families. Kids In Distress, Inc. (KID) is a nationally accredited organization dedicated to preventing child abuse, preserving families, and treating children who have been abused and neglected. As a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization, it provides essential care to children and families in the South Florida community while maintaining nationally accredited standards.
