Hero Martial Arts

Hero Martial Arts offers Taekwondo, self-defense, sparring, fitness classes, and Taekwondo competitions. The program also offers a Summer Camp and family Taekwondo classes. All of the classes are taught by a highly qualified and professional instructor.

• Schedule: Class options Monday–Friday between 4pm and 9pm, including Kids & Family Taekwondo, Teens & Adult Taekwondo, and sparring classes

Hero Martial Arts is a family-owned and operated martial arts school that has been teaching Taekwondo lessons since 2008 and is celebrating 18 years of teaching martial arts in Palmetto Bay, Florida. The school specializes in Traditional and Olympic Style Taekwondo and offers martial arts classes for ages 5 and up, as well as private instruction for Taekwondo and fitness classes at convenient times. Family classes and family discounts are available, and registration for the 2026 Summer Camp is open. Hero Martial Arts is a member of the Zen Mu Kwan Association and serves the Pinecrest, Palmetto Bay, Cutler Bay, and Miami-Dade communities. The program states that it respects and embraces each individual student and instills confidence in Hero students in their martial arts journey and in their everyday life. Everyone is welcome at Hero Martial Arts in South Miami-Dade, and Spanish is spoken.

Master Luis Cocco is an 8th degree Black Belt in Taekwondo and teaches most classes at the academy. He is the Head Coach of Team Hero and a USA Taekwondo Level 2 coach. Master Cocco has been teaching Traditional Taekwondo and Olympic Taekwondo in Miami for over 30 years and has led and coached many students to National Championships, World Championships, and the USA National Taekwondo Team in both sparring and poomsae.
