The program’s mission is to enhance the way participants move, feel, and perform by delivering fitness, sports performance, and wellness services within an integrated medical model. Youth and professional athlete development in this program is driven by science, data, and positive relationships, using an integrated model that merges best practices of orthopedic medicine, sports performance, and longevity science. Performance testing uses VALD technology, and strength and conditioning programs are delivered through individualized coaching and small-group Athlete Academy sessions, including in-season and off-season age-specific programs developed for hockey players by hockey players.
The staff includes professionals who are certified and who played at the collegiate level and beyond. The leadership team includes Cass Price, General Manager, Rosemont; Ed Cruzat, General Manager & Private Training Coach, Mount Prospect; Cory Leman, Director of HPI, Highland Park; Kenny Blanchard, HPI Operations Manager, Highland Park; AJ Alfrey, B.S., HPI Sales and Marketing Manager, Mount Prospect; Lauren Notaro, M.S., General Manager, Morton Grove; and Mike Gaynor, Baseball/Softball Coordinator & Private Training Coach, Highland Park. The program offers Youth Pilates, which is described as having four health benefits that improve strength, flexibility, and posture and ensure children have fun while doing it. It is described as the only fully integrated fitness facility in the Chicagoland area and as bridging the gap between science and medicine.
The organization is committed to giving back to the community through charity, scholarship opportunities, and free health screenings. One parent testimonial states that their child has been participating in the Jr. Elite class for several months, notes the professionalism of the instructors, and mentions that the class focuses on strength and agility while making it fun, with results already seen, and ends with a recommendation of the program.
