About

HPI Athlete Training & Sports Performance offers sports performance training, sports skills training, strength and conditioning programs, and sport specific team training programs. The program includes baseball and softball training, hockey training, baseball training, youth Pilates, Pilates, performance testing using VALD technology, adult fitness, Adult Training (BUILD), private training, massage, massage therapy, acupuncture, and nutrition coaching. Camps are also offered as part of the program.

The program’s mission is to enhance the way participants move, feel, and perform by delivering fitness, sports performance, and wellness services within an integrated medical model. It uses performance testing with VALD technology to track speed, power, and movement efficiency, and uses data-driven insights for training. Strength and conditioning programs are offered through individualized coaching and small-group Athlete Academy sessions, and there are in-season and off-season age specific programs developed for hockey players by hockey players, as well as sport specific team training programs with pre-season, in-season, and post-season strength and conditioning plans. Youth Pilates focuses on strength, flexibility, and posture while including activities children find fun, and Adult Fitness includes weight loss and strength goals in a setting described as safe and injury-free. Youth and professional athlete development is driven by science, data, and positive relationships, and the program uses an integrated model that merges orthopedic medicine, sports performance, and longevity science. HPI Athlete Training & Sports Performance is described as the only fully integrated fitness facility in the Chicagoland area and is a division of Illinois Bone & Joint Institute (HPI is the Health Performance Institute).
