The House Tutoring Lounge offers academic tutoring, homework help, pre-finals math tutoring, support with college essays, executive functioning support, and test prep for high school entrance exams and other standardized tests. The program provides ACT prep classes, SAT prep, AP exams prep, HSPT prep, ISEE prep, SSAT prep, and free practice tests and diagnostic exams for the ACT and SAT. Through a Lounge Membership, students can access homework help and on-demand tutoring at any time during available hours.

Originally founded in 2010, The House Tutoring Lounge states that its mission is to help relieve the anxiety families have regarding their students’ education by providing educational support. The program describes itself as the World's First Tutoring Lounge and includes The Academic Lounge with purpose-built spaces to accommodate a range of student needs. Tutoring is offered in-person or online, every week or on a same-day basis, and services are available in tutoring lounges, online, or in-home.
The House Tutoring Lounge reports that over 60% of its tutors hold a Master's degree or PhD and that it uses a highly selective tutor hiring process that rejects 90% of applicants. The organization is a member of the National Test Prep Association and a licensed participant in the NTPA ACT Affiliate Tutor Program. It has been ranked “Best Test Prep Tutors” by both CBS and Expertise.
