The Art Center Highland Park Summer Camps offer summer art camps that include activities in Jewelry, Ceramics, Cartooning, and Mixed-Media. Camps are offered as both 1-week and 2-week sessions during the 2026 summer season.
• Ages: 6–18 years old
• Schedule: 9-week 2026 summer season from June 8 through August 7, with 1-week and 2-week camp options in morning and afternoon time blocks
The Art Center Highland Park’s mission is to ignite a passion for the arts by providing a forum for self-expression, dialogue, and community engagement. The organization offers both classes and Summer Camps in a variety of mediums such as Jewelry, Ceramics, Cartooning, and Mixed-Media, and all skill levels are welcome. In August, the Summer session will culminate in a Youth Show that exhibits work from both classes and camps. Student scholarships are offered each year for classes, workshops, and creative summer art camps, and the organization states that it never turns down a scholarship.
The Art Center Highland Park runs outreach educational programs with partner organizations throughout the region for underserved populations. Contemporary art exhibits are held throughout the year in museum-quality galleries, featuring artists from emerging through established levels. Draw Together is a summer festival that focuses on community, and the Recycled Art Sale offers thousands of donated artworks and art pieces for sale. Late Nights in the Gallery includes dinner on the lawn with live music and evening access to the galleries. Arts in Action highlights current events and partners with other groups to provide topical community-building events about diversity and inclusion, and Exchange Events feature high-profile artists, filmmakers, dance companies, and other cultural topics live in the galleries for audience interaction. The Art Center is committed to a safe environment for students, visitors, instructors, and donors, supported by a Zero Tolerance Policy and a Code of Conduct. Parents and guardians are asked to review the Parent/Guardian Information for Camp and complete the Emergency Contact Form before a camper attends.
