Ransburg Scout Reservation Summer Camp offers an all-inclusive program that is recognized as one of the best in the nation and includes one of the most diverse sets of programs in the country. The camp operates with state-of-the-art facilities and has a dedicated staff committed to outstanding service to Scouts and Scouters. Scouts from all over the world attend one of the seven weeks of summer camp.
• Schedule: Seven weeks of summer camp
Ransburg Scout Reservation was established in 1966, and in the summer of 1966 Camp Ransburg opened as a Scout summer camp. It was constructed to serve the Scouts of the then Central Indiana Council, which is now the Crossroads of America Council. The mission of Ransburg Scout Reservation is to foster the Scout Oath and Law in both Scouts and Scouters by offering a fun, safe, inclusive, positive, memorable, and challenging summer camp experience.
The leadership team includes Chris Myers (Camp Director); Ryan Kelleher (Assistant Camp Director); Liz van Hoose (Assistant Camp Director); Justin Scott (Assistant Camp Director); Matt Fisher (Leadership Team Member & Alumni Coordinator); Holly Holdsworth (Program Director); Max Kitchell (Assistant Program Director); Brandon Young (Assistant Program Director); and Wyatt Ott (Camp Commissioner), along with roles for Business Manager, Human Resources, and various program area contacts for Aquatics, Baden Powell, Chaplain, Firecrafter, Handicraft, Health Lodge, High Adventure, Nature, N.E.S.T., Order of the Arrow, Ranch, Scoutcraft, Sports & RATA, and STEM.
Parents are encouraged to send a letter or package to their Scout at Ransburg Scout Reservation, allowing a minimum of five to six days delivery time and an additional 25% time due to delivery underestimates. Approximately 20% of packages and mail are returned to sender due to late delivery. USPS delivers in the early afternoon, and FedEx and UPS deliver in the evening between 5 p.m. and 8 p.m., and mail is delivered by commissioner service the next day to the Scout’s campsite. To help ensure delivery, the campsite and troop number should be listed and addressed as: (Scout’s Name), (campsite), (Troop number), Ransburg Scout Reservation, 7599 E.
