Munroe Center for the Arts Summer Camp

Munroe Center for the Arts Summer Camp offers painting and drawing, ceramics, printmaking, and crafting. The program also includes theatre classes and other visual arts classes as part of its summer camp activities.

The Munroe Center for the Arts rents space to three performing arts schools whose leadership petitioned to open the building in 1984, as well as to ten studio artists working in photography, painting, and fiber arts. The organization provides programming for classes and workshops in theatre, ceramics, and many other visual arts media, along with 11 weeks of school vacation programming. It also offers public events and exhibits through initiatives such as the Munroe Center Stage performing arts program, ArtWalk, and its gallery space. Lexington Friends of the Arts dba Munroe Center for the Arts is a 501(c)(3) organization, and its mission is to inspire, engage, and nurture students, artists, audiences, and the community in their creative explorations. Registration is open for Summer Camp 2026, and office hours are Monday through Friday, 9am to 5pm.
