About
Mansfield Children's Center is a non-profit program that offers a learning environment described as engaging indoors, spaciously natural outdoors, and child-nourishing throughout. The program is located on a 2 1/2 acre campus that includes land and a pool.
• Schedule: Center hours Monday–Friday 6:30am to 5:30pm; office hours Monday–Friday 9:00am to 4:00pm
In 1981, the directors of Mansfield Children's Center, each of whom was successful in related fields, chose to design and develop a unique learning environment for children. The leadership team includes Jeanne H. M. Fallon, John W. Pangburn, and Kevin J. Fallon. The program’s mission is to offer an alternative to generic corporate child care chains by operating as a non-profit center in Mansfield, Massachusetts, with a rich curriculum that brings out the social, emotional, creative, intellectual, and physical capacities of each child. The mission also states that, with thoughtful guidance and love, a healthy foundation can be laid in a way that frees a child to experience the joys and pleasures of childhood and beyond.
Parents describe the facility as having notable land and a pool, and one parent states that “it is the people that make your place so special.” Another parent of 12 years shares that it is hard to leave children in someone else’s care each workday, but not when they attend Mansfield Children’s Center, and that their children have come home happy after each enriching day, with the center feeling like a second home where their children have truly thrived. The program uses the tagline “Where Children Thrive.”
