About the provider
Becca Segaloff is described as the teacher and professional at Capstone Farm. She has nearly 25 years in the saddle and 16 years as a professional. She is a UMass Amherst Animal Science alum, holds a Master's in Early Childhood Education from Lesley University, and is a Massachusetts Licensed Riding Instructor. Capstone Farm says it is dedicated to helping riders of all ages and abilities fulfill their goals and dreams in a safe, fun, and nurturing environment, and its teaching philosophy emphasizes safe, fun, engaging riding and helping students set reasonable, measurable goals and see progress during every ride.
All beginners ride in private lessons until the instructor deems them safe to ride in a group. Group lessons are case-by-case and require a private evaluation lesson. No makeup lessons or refunds for rider-cancelled lessons. If Capstone Farm cancels a lesson, a makeup lesson is offered later. Monthly subscription fees must be paid in full prior to the first lesson of each month. To hold a spot while away, 50% payment is required for the month away; one month may be held during Sept-June, or up to 2 months during July and August.
What families say
“The teachers here are thoughtful and supportive. They keep the challenges of each lesson appropriate and engaging. The horses and ponies are lovely. My daughter is always so eager to get there and sad when she has to leave. We plan to be a part of the Capstone Farm family for many many years.” — Ian M.
