Mass Arts Academy offers Broadway Babies, Show Kids, Junior Performance Team, Broadway Mash-Up, and private lessons in voice, acting, and dance. Broadway Babies is for ages 5-7 and meets Saturdays from 9:00-9:45 for $220. Show Kids is for ages 8-11 and meets Saturdays from 10:00-11:15 for $276. Junior Performance Team is for ages 11+ and meets Saturdays from 11:30-1:00 for $299. Broadway Mash-Up is for ages 8-12 and meets Wednesdays from 4:15-5:45 for $299.

About the provider

The Academy at Mass Arts offers private lessons in voice, dance, or acting. The leadership team includes Dori Bryan-Ployer, Ph.D., as Artistic Director and Director of Education, along with Lindsey Ashworth, Melissa Myers, and Alexandra Rickoff. The faculty cumulatively holds bachelor’s and master’s degrees in theatre, education, theatre pedagogy, music therapy, musical theatre, choreography, and dance pedigree.

• Private Lessons - Voice — Concentrated attention on singing fundamentals, including breath control, posture, placement, diction, interpretation, and vocal health.
• Private Lessons - Acting — Concentrated training in storytelling, speech and diction, character work, text work, interpretation, and script scoring.
• Private Lessons - Dance — Concentrated training in tap, ballet, jazz, and musical theatre performance.

Class minimums and maximums are listed for each class. For private lessons, if it is necessary to cancel a lesson, contact the instructor via email 24 hours prior to the lesson start time. Make ups are scheduled in consideration of the student’s and instructor’s availability.
