Mansfield PALS offers recently renovated classrooms with new toys, playful activity stations, and colorful artwork. It also includes an outdoor area with a jungle gym, a mini basketball hoop, a sandbox, and kid-sized picnic tables. The program operates Monday through Friday from 7:30am to 5:30pm, with infant care for ages 6 weeks to 12 months, toddler care for ages 1 to 3 years, and preschool and pre-k for ages 3 to 5 years.

Mansfield PALS describes its mission as "A close-knit community, where children play and learn." It is closed for federal and state holidays, when Mansfield Public Schools are closed due to inclement weather, and one day per quarter for professional days. The program participates in the Department of Early Education and Care’s Child Care Financial Assistance program, accepts mobile voucher payments, and uses video and audio recording cameras in classrooms, entrances, hallways, and outdoor play areas, with no cameras in bathrooms or kitchen. Recordings are kept on a private secure server for 30 days, and parents or guardians must complete a recording consent form.
