About
Nantucket Boys & Girls Club Programs includes Summer Camp, Lego Robotics, Drawing with Faith, Book Club, Junior Chefs, Tween Junior Chefs, Crazy 8's, E-Sports Club, NBGC Choir, STEAM with the Town of Nantucket, Dance Team, and Youth of the Year. Summer Camp is offered Monday through Friday. Other offerings include LEGO® Robotics building and programming, drawing and portrait techniques, cooking classes, a hands-on math STEM program, choir, STEAM field trips, and dance team activities.
Programs
- Summer Camp — 2.9-14 years old, depending on camp and grade level · Monday-Friday
- Lego Robotics — 2nd-5th Grade · Wednesdays & Thursdays, 5:00 PM · Winter and Spring 2026. Participants build and program LEGO® Robotics and may compete in the FIRST LEGO League. Instructor: Emma Petracca. Capacity: 10 participants.
- Drawing with Faith — 2nd-5th Grade · Wednesdays, 3:00 - 4:00 PM · Spring 2026. Members learn basic drawing and portrait techniques. Instructor: Faith Hensley. Capacity: 10 participants.
- Book Club — 3rd Grade · Fridays, 4:00 PM · Spring 2026. Focuses on The Bad Guys series by Aaron Blabey. Instructor: Jaedeen Harrison. Capacity: 10 participants.
- Junior Chefs — Middle and high school youth · Spring 2026. Three 7-10 week sessions of cooking classes in the Club’s commercial kitchen, led by NBGC staff. Spring session dates are TBD; anticipated start date is April 2026.
- Tween Junior Chefs — Middle and high school youth · Spring 2026. Six-session cooking program in the Club’s commercial kitchen, led by NBGC staff. Spring session dates are TBD; anticipated start date is April 2026.
- Crazy 8's — 2nd-3rd Grade · Fridays, 3:00-4:00 PM · Spring 2026. Hands-on math STEM program with Meg Glidden. Capacity: 10 participants.
- E-Sports Club — 3rd-8th Grade · Tuesdays & Wednesdays, 5:00 PM
- NBGC Choir — 2nd-6th Grade · Fridays, 3:00-5:00 PM · Spring 2026. Offered with the Nantucket Community Music Center. The program concludes with a seasonal performance. Capacity: 10 participants. Instructor: Emma Petracca.
- STEAM with the Town of Nantucket — 2nd-5th grade · Tuesdays, 3:00 - 4:15 PM · Spring 2026. Hands-on STEAM field trip experience with the Town of Nantucket. Capacity: up to 10 participants. Instructor: Ian Graiff.
- Dance Team — 2nd-5th grade · Thursdays, 3:00-5:00 PM

About the provider
The Club serves children in pre-kindergarten through 12th grade year-round. NBGC’s LEGO® Robotics program has been offered for 12 years and counting, and Junior Chefs is in its ninth year. The mission is to enable Nantucket's youth, especially those who need the Club most, to reach their full potential as productive, caring, and responsible citizens. The Club partners with the Nantucket Community Music Center, the Town of Nantucket, the Nantucket Dance Theater, and several island organizations and experts mentioned in the Summer Camp FAQ.
Club closure: August 24 through September 7, 2026; regular hours and open gym resume September 8. Summer Camp: no camp July 3. Cost of summer camp is $450 per week. Financial aid is available to qualifying families. Applications are due by April 15, 2026. No refunds for cancellations made after June 19, 2026. All camp balances and payment plans must be settled and up to date by June 19, 2026. Program registration is available through the Parent Portal.
