Carpe Diem Arts

Carpe Diem Arts offers after-school programs, summer arts and language immersion camps, ukulele classes, and performance opportunities for all ages. The program also organizes community dances, a concert series, monthly family sings, and a Community Sings program. Additional activities include the First Friday Solidarity Sing, the Memory Café at Meadowbrook Local Park, and cultural enrichment programs and residencies in schools.

Carpe Diem Arts is dedicated to serving diverse audiences with quality arts experiences, representing a broad range of cultural traditions and artistic disciplines. The organization partners with Church of the Ascension and other area non-profits and invites families to register for some programs through its project partner, Montgomery Parks. Carpe Diem Arts, Inc. is a tax-exempt charitable organization, led by Executive Director and CFO Diane Dowling. The program shares that families can check out an infographic to see what was accomplished in the fiscal year that ended June 30, 2024, and offers an “Arts to You” newsletter with a curated event listing every two weeks. Covid precautions are listed as Tier 2, with masks and vaccinations encouraged but not required.
