About
The Sheldon Institute for Barbara Shineman Scholars offers hands-on courses in art, music, culture, science, technology, fitness, and wellness. The program is specifically designed to address the academic and cultural needs of curious and creative students, with a curriculum tailored to students entering kindergarten through ninth grade. The program runs as the 47th Annual Sheldon Institute and includes two weeks of programming.
• Ages: 5–14 years old
• Schedule: Two one-week sessions, July 20–24 and July 27–31, 2026, with program hours from 9:15 am to 3:45 pm and flexible drop-off and pick-up times
• Price: $225 per week, with an optional additional $55 fee for daily lunch provision
During each week of the program, children are instructed by college professors, public school teachers, and experienced practitioners. The program leadership includes Chelsea Ginett, who serves as Youth Program Manager, Sheldon Institute for Barbara Shineman Scholars Director, and STEAM Camp Director.
