Ashland Youth Baseball is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization that coordinates these spring and summer baseball teams, tournaments, and activities for Ashland Middle School and Ashland High School students. Its volunteer board members and coaches organize the spring seventh- and eighth-grade teams that play other Rogue Valley teams from March through May. The organization also raises funds to support the high school baseball program and to improve Grizzly baseball facilities, with outfield banner advertisers and donors helping keep participation fees low. Ashland Youth Baseball is in charge of the snack bar and concession stand at North Mountain Park. The leadership team includes president Deanna Oakley, vice president Keri Pennell, secretary Navarro Chandler, treasurer Jerrold Rountree, and board members Ron Albano, Ryan Oakley, Melanie Plisskin, Rich Rosenthal, Andrea Smith, and Emily Trivette. The program’s website was developed and donated by Jim Teece and Project A to honor the life of former board member and volunteer Jeff Rhoden, who passed away in August 2021.
