About
SOU Youth Programs offers summer camps, enrichment classes and workshops, regional academic competitions, early college credit pathways, and family events. Activities include friendly competitions in math, trivia, and art, as well as after school meetings and overnight summer camps. Specific programs include the Black Youth Summer Institute overnight week-long summer camp, Academia Latina overnight camp, Academia Leadership overnight camp, Konaway Nika Tillicum overnight summer camp, and year-long virtual engagement through All My Relations.

For more than 40 years, Southern Oregon University’s Office of Youth Programs has offered educational programs for youth from across the country. The mission focuses on cultural identities, academics, and community connection. Programming includes thoughtful and intentional options for youth who are part of Native American, Latino/a/x, and Black communities, including year-long Latino/a/x programming with multiple camps, conferences, after-school programming, and family events. Community involvement includes cultural and identity-focused events and gatherings, Juntos en Familia and Dia Familiar Latino family events, the César E. Chávez Leadership Conference, Pathways after-school programming, and year-long virtual engagement for Native and Indigenous families through All My Relations.
