Parkrose Pool Swim Lessons offers private swimming lessons, semi-private swimming lessons, and group swim lessons. The program also includes the Blue Crush Competitive Team and follows a Blue Crush Swim Progression Pathway with 10 levels, from Bubbles through All-Star Achiever. The program uses a Blue Crush Swim Progression Pathway with 10 levels: Bubbles, Floating Star, Kicking Explorer, Side Master, Freestyle Champion, Backstroke Achiever, Butterfly Beginner, Breaststroke Developer, Diving Expert, and All-Star Achiever. Level 8 (Breaststroke Developer) is identified as a gateway to competitive swimming, and Level 10 (All-Star Achiever) has the achievement goal of club team readiness and the next step to join the Blue Crush Competitive Team.
Group lessons require a minimum age of 5 years, and participants must be fully potty trained without swim diapers, water-comfortable, and independent, with parents observing from behind stanchions. What to bring includes appropriate swimwear, a towel, goggles (recommended), a change of clothes, and an optional lock for a locker.
