About

Portland Parks & Recreation Swimming Lessons take place in pools that also offer play swims, water fitness activities, lap swimming, a hot tub, a current channel walk, and fitness classes. Life jackets are available to use while swimming, and swimmers who are not toilet-trained must wear a swim diaper in the water and on the pool deck.

• Ages: 0–18 years old
• Schedule: Outdoor pools are open seasonally, June–August.
• Price: Little ones aged 0–2 are FREE. Drop-in admission for indoor pools: Youth (ages 3–12) $4, Teen (ages 13–17) $5, Adult (ages 18–59) $6, Senior (ages 60+) $5.

All swimmers under the age of 14 must be under the direct supervision of a person aged 18 years or older for all play swims. Infants, toddlers, weak swimmers, and children under 48" in height must always be supervised in the water by a person aged 18 years or older who remains within arm's reach. Non-toilet trained swimmers should always wear a properly fitting swim diaper in the water and on the pool deck, and swim diapers are available for purchase at all Portland Parks & Recreation pools. Thanks to the Parks Local Option Levy, Portland residents can get a discount on community center and pool admission, classes, camps, swim lessons, and more. The Access Discount Program offers reduced pricing of 25, 50, 75, or 90% on community center and pool admission, classes, camps, swim lessons, and more with no proof of income required.
