About
Project Kindred Navigators is part of Project Kindred’s citywide leadership system where young people travel across neighborhoods, learn from new experiences, and form friendships. Navigators guides youth from grades three through young adulthood as they Explore, Lead, and Mentor while moving across the city and choosing interest tracks. Every space in the program centers safety, warmth, joy, and strong communication.
• Price: Programs are free for families.
Project Kindred has roots in 2008, developed A Summer Community in 2017, created A Joined Path in 2020, and launches Navigators in 2025. Its mission is to create a citywide leadership system where young people discover who they are, connect across Milwaukee, and prepare to lead in every part of their lives. Project Kindred strengthens partnerships with families, mentors, schools, and organizations across Milwaukee, and partners open real doors as families, mentors, and partners join a shared effort to help young people grow through real experiences in the city.
