About
Project Kindred Navigators is part of Project Kindred’s citywide leadership system for young people. Navigators guides youth as they Explore, Lead, and Mentor while they move across the city, choose interest tracks, and grow in confidence and purpose. Every space in the program centers safety, warmth, joy, and strong communication, and Milwaukee becomes a learning space where youth learn by doing in places that matter, with Project Kindred holding the structure that keeps everything connected.

Project Kindred has roots in 2008, formed A Summer Community in 2017, joined paths in 2020, and launches Navigators in 2025. Its mission is to create a citywide leadership system where young people discover who they are, connect across Milwaukee, and prepare to lead in every part of their lives. Project Kindred is supported by families, mentors, and partners across Milwaukee, and partners open real doors as the organization strengthens partnerships with families, mentors, schools, and organizations across the city.
