East Bay Eclipse Soccer Club is a nonprofit youth soccer club serving players in the Lamorinda area and is a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization. The club states that it builds players, develops people, and works every day to make sure the game stays fun. Coaches are trained, certified, and background-checked, and the leadership group includes Boys Director Brandon, Girls Director Jose, Assistant Coach Luke, Head Coach Alex, Coach in Training Reid, and Coach Juan. Founded in 2010, East Bay Eclipse notes that it has been in the community for sixteen years and that season 15 is transitioning into season 16 over the next few months. The club offers seasonal training that is open to any player in the community without a tryout or long-term commitment, and it offers year-round competitive soccer with experienced coaches who know players by name. East Bay Eclipse identifies itself as a nonprofit community club with no investors and no profit motive, and states that every dollar stays in the club and goes back to the players, with many coaches being former Eclipse players and some current players having older siblings who played at the club. Boys Director Brandon participated in NorCal Premier’s Director Education Trip in the UK, visiting multiple English clubs, games, and organizations, including Actonians Sports Club, Charlton Athletic’s training ground, Junior Premier League games, an English Championship game at Charlton Athletic, a Women’s 3rd division game at AFC Wimbledon, Chelsea vs. Man City at Stamford Bridge, Bromley (League 2 game), Wembley and the London FA, Crystal Palace free training sessions for kids in the local community, and three different non league clubs to learn how they are run and how they interact with the local community.
