One Generation Camp

About
One Generation Camp offers daily movement, music, and dance activities that include Brazilian Capoeira, West African hand drumming, West African song and dance, Cuban rhythm and dance, and body percussion. Campers also take part in storytelling, hiking, games, and share circles. The camp teaches culture through the arts and keeps group size small for individual attention and community building, and no prior experience is required.

• Schedule: Week 1: June 22–26; Week 2: June 29–July 3
One Generation Camp is an outdoor music and dance camp for children ages 5–10, with Jr CITs accepted ages 11–13 and CITs accepted ages 14–18. The camp operates under the 501(c)(3) non-profit In One Generation, Inc., an all women-run organization. The mission of In One Generation, Inc. is to support the social and emotional wellbeing, development, and sense of community in children and their families. Featuring some of the most talented teachers in the Bay Area, the camp focuses on music, dance, storytelling, games, and share circles as part of community building and nature exploration.
A parent of a 5-year-old camper reported that their child attended six different camps in one summer and said that One Generation Camp was their favorite, mentioning the smaller, nurturing group and the unique, multicultural music and dance activities.
