Summer Dance Camps at Southern California Ballet
Southern California Ballet, 12285 World Trade Dr. Ste. L, Ste. L, San Diego, CA 92128
About
Summer Dance Camps at Southern California Ballet include time to learn about ballet, practice Ballet and Creative Ballet, and explore Jazz and Improvisation. Campers take part in simple crafts, ballet-related crafts, making props for their dances, painting scenery for the ballets, and activities that include freedom of movement and dancing in groups. Each week has a different theme, routines, choreography, and crafts, with the 2026 themes of Cinderella (June 15–19) and Alice in Wonderland (June 22–26), and each week ends with an in-studio presentation for parents.

Its mission is to empower aspiring dancers to reach their full potential and to elevate the community through educational programs and imaginative performances. Southern California Ballet is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization and runs community outreach programs including adaptive dance programs, outreach performances and workshops, and library classes, and aims to make performing accessible to as many of its dancers as possible. Students have the opportunity to participate in three productions per year: The Nutcracker, a spring production that is typically a story ballet such as Cinderella, and an all-academy performance, with spring productions rotating year-to-year among Coppélia, Cinderella, and Alice in Wonderland.
