Camp Blue Sky Overnight Camp offers a two-week overnight program that includes rock climbing, mountain biking, paddling, hiking, archery, survival skills, ropes course challenges, ziplining, and backcountry overnights. Campers take part in activities such as single-track riding, kayaking, stand up paddleboarding, investigating plant life, learning local history, reading maps, pitching tents, hanging bear bags, cooking meals, traversing suspended cables with a partner, trust falls, navigating a giant spider’s web, morning clubs, skits, and games.

• Schedule: Two-week sessions with Sunday check-in at 1:00 PM and Friday check-out at 12:00 PM, following a daily schedule from 6:30 AM latest wake-up to 9:00 PM lights out
• Price: Two Weeks Price $2,715; DEN Airport Camp Shuttle $50 one-way, $100 round-trip.
The program is part of Avid4 Adventure, whose mission states that kids build confidence, make new friends, and master essential skills in activities like paddling, biking, rock climbing, and hiking. Camp Blue Sky Overnight Camp features backcountry overnights at remote campsites and an attempt to summit the local peak Mt. Judge, along with transportation to and from recreation areas and access to top-of-the-line gear specifically sized for kids. Activities also take place on a Challenge Course and at a partner site, Denver Adventures, which offers the longest ziplines in Colorado and provides high ropes and ziplining experiences through a formal partnership.
The staff includes experienced lead climbing instructors, an experienced mountain biking specialist, and experienced high ropes guides, and all Avid4 Instructors are 18 and older with safety and skills training. The leadership team includes Camp Blue Sky Director Garrett and Avid4 Adventure Founder David Secunda, who is a former president of the Outdoor Industry Association and a 25-year veteran of the outdoor education industry. The program is accredited by the American Camp Association, is a Certified B Corp, has been named among Colorado Parent’s Top 5 Sports Camps, and operates under a Special Use authorization from the National Forest Service. Camp Blue Sky was formerly known as Mt. Evans, and Avid4 Adventure offers programs that evolve from age 3 through a first summer job, supported by the Avid4 Adventure Guarantee that offers the next camp free if its promises are not met.
