Overnight Summer Camps in the Sierra Mountains

Camp Wamp, a camp for children with physical disabilities, is lovingly embraced by tall, graceful pines and snugly nestled on the banks of Deer Lake in Soda Springs, California. Indeed, this creates a transformative and unforgettable experience for all who visit.

Experience a child-focused, self-sustainable summer camp situated in the majestic southern Sierras. Our two-week program provides children ages six to sixteen with the opportunity to make lifelong friends, experience rustic ranch living, and connect with a community of positive people.

Since 1957, we have provided children and adults with developmental disabilities a full program of recreation, education, fun and adventure. We offer Summer Camp and a Year-Round Respite Program and we proudly work with people with all developmental disabilities. At Camp Krem, we nurture independence and self-confidence, encourage responsibility, develop a sense of worth and respect for others, and build lifelong relationships through a warm and friendly atmosphere of planned permissiveness. We strive to open new worlds of discovery, adventure, friendship and learning. Our many wonderful programs also provide parents, families and caregivers with much-needed respite.

We will travel from the Randall Museum in vans and spend 5 days and 4 nights tent camping under the evergreens and the stars. This camp is led by a team of counselors with years of experience leading children in outdoor adventures.

Camp Pendola exists to build lasting relationships, form servant leaders, and teach stewardship of God's creation through Christian community living in the outdoors.

During the summer months of June through August, Tuolumne Trails hosts a series of overnight summer camps for people with disabilities. These programs include youth and adult overnight camps, family camps, and excursion camps.

Yosemite Sierra Summer Camp program and outcomes center on our two-week long sessions. Organized into cabin groups of one counselor and up to 7 campers of similar age, children participate in developmentally appropriate activities.

Mountain Meadow Ranch is a co-ed, sleepaway summer camp for ages 7 to 16, uniquely located on a spacious 900 acre ranch in the Sierra Nevada north of Lake Tahoe. We offer a traditional camp program, where our philosophy of Servant Leadership fosters character development and camp community bonding through the many activities we provide. Nike Boys Basketball Camp at William Jessup University offers young athletes a premier overnight experience to enhance their basketball skills. Led by experienced coaches, participants engage in structured training, fostering growth and teamwork in a dynamic environment.

Kennolyn Camps Huntington Lake is a small, close-knit community where campers grades 6th-11th thrive with flexible activity choices and close counselor guidance where our staff knows every camper by name. Our campers develop lifelong emotional and social skills, are challenged to learn new things, and most of all have fun!

The Pacific Summer High School Institute is a two-week residential pre-college summer program designed for curious high school students to live, learn and grow at one of America’s top universities. During the program, summer institute students will become immersed in cutting-edge topics and issues through learning environments focused on real-world, hands-on experiences in our labs, studios, fields and makerspaces. In short, Pacific Institute students will experience college firsthand.

Camp Omni provides an educational adventure shaped by fun and friends! Our camp features science, natural wonder, and humanist values such as empathy, creativity, critical thinking, and community. Summer sessions are week long, outdoor residential camps for campers ages 8-17.

Gold Arrow Camp is a traditional summer camp located on Huntington Lake. Boys and girls ages 6-14 make fun, lifelong memories at our California summer camp while participating in activities like wake boarding, horseback riding, and rock climbing.

As a traditional co-ed residential summer camp, Camp Rockin’ U offers weeklong sessions packed with more awesome action & excellent entertainment than you can imagine! Break your child’s summer boredom with a week packed full of stimulating activities designed to excite every camper. We strive to provide every child with a special camping experience they'll remember forever!

77-year old resident CA Girl Scout camp, located in the high Sierra, specializing in backpacking. We offer a graduated backpacking program for girls entering 4th grade through college, with 1-day, 3-day, 4-day, 7-day, and 11-day trips. We also offer in-camp units, a water-focused unit, and a counselor training program. Run entirely by VOLUNTEERS with an average of 8 years of Two Sentinels experience, though many of our staff have spent more than 20 years working for Two Sentinels. Our staff to camper ratio is 1:4, and we offer a Tag unit for young children of volunteer staff. Girls in both backpacking and non-backpacking units also get to swim, kayak, canoe, and sail in Lake Kirkwood, and participate in archery, nature and astronomy study, crafts, singing, games, day hikes and fun!
