Special Needs Camps for Kids in California

Camp Escapades offers an inclusive environment where children with special needs engage in therapeutic activities, fostering independence and personal growth. Each child experiences a traditional camp adventure tailored to their unique abilities and requirements.

CAMP GO BeYOND was created to provide a free camp experience where children diagnosed with Inflammatory Bowel Disease (IBD): Crohn's Disease and Ulcerative Colitis, can have fun in a safe, supportive, and nurturing environment.

A week-long camp with themed activities, including equestrian elements, physical activities, arts and crafts, and snacks, designed for children and their siblings with physical, cognitive, and emotional disabilities.

Camp Kindle Midwest serves children ages 7-15 infected with or affected by HIV/AIDS with a cost free residential week long program. The camp offers recreation and educational components. Youth that attend CKM reside in the Central United States.

Camp LBC offers a summer camp experience where children can learn, explore, and engage in various community settings. Activities include practicing social skills in natural environments such as theme parks, camp songs, and adventures with peers.

Camp Oasis empowers children with Crohn's disease and ulcerative colitis to thrive in a supportive environment. Campers engage in fun activities, forge lasting friendships, and build confidence while learning to manage their health effectively.

Camp Paivika offers a unique, supportive environment where individuals with disabilities engage in diverse activities like swimming, arts and crafts, and sports. Campers build independence and social connections while enjoying a fun, enriching experience.

Nothing can compensate for the anguish that childhood cancer inflicts, but since 1982, Camp Ronald McDonald for Good Times® has helped thousands of children and their family members recapture hope, enthusiasm, and love of life in a medically and psychologically safe environment created especially for them. Camp Ronald McDonald for Good Times® offers a variety of residential camping opportunities for cancer patients, their siblings and parents all year long!

Camp Take Root empowers children with ADHD and learning disabilities through personalized programs. Engaging activities like hiking, rock climbing, and yoga promote holistic brain and body development, fostering growth in a supportive environment.

Medically supervised camp for children with heart disease and their families. Activities include swimming, snorkeling, horseback riding, rock-wall climbing, skit night, archery, and heart education.

During the summer months of June through August, Tuolumne Trails hosts a series of overnight summer camps for people with disabilities. These programs include youth and adult overnight camps, family camps, and excursion camps.

Camp Via West offers innovative programs for kids ages 5-17, focusing on making new friends, learning new skills, and enjoying outdoor experiences. The camp is designed for children with disabilities and differing needs, providing a safe, fun, and enriching environment.

Each year, children with chronic and life-threatening skin diseases from around the country take a break from being a patient for a week and focus on just being a kid. Camp Wonder® is a special place free of judgement and stares!
